Zaid M.

A proven hard worker and a cheerful guy to talk with, Zaid has impressed many clients while working with Allshore. One of Zaid’s Client Relations Managers, Brittany Lucht, told us: “Zaid is an extremely creative designer! He has worked with several of our company’s clients and has impressed everyone with his attention to detail. He is a team player, a hard worker, and great to work alongside. He has worked extra hours many times as a favor to our company to keep multiple clients happy and progressing at once! He’s a true designing and developing machine! We cannot thank him enough for his dedication and willingness to go the extra mile! He always goes above and beyond what is expected of him and always has a good attitude through it all!”

Faisal N., Zaid’s Team Lead, had this to say about him: “Zaid is a friendly and hard working guy. He takes his work seriously and pays attention to detail. He always tries his best to produce quality work and please his client. He loves to learn new technologies and keeps him self up to date with technology.”

So let’s start with some background information about you. Where were you born and where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Karachi, but in some ways I belong to Burma because my Grandmother was a Burmese woman who migrated to Pakistan and settled in Karachi.
Have you ever traveled to Burma?
No, I have never traveled there, but if ever I go on a vacation outside Pakistan then I would prefer to go to Burma. My father told me lot of great things about the Burmese people and climate.
Have you ever traveled anywhere outside of Pakistan?
Not yet, but I have a plan to go to Saudi Arabia for the Umrah pilgrimage.

So, what made you decide to go from Accounting and Math to Web Development?
Accounting you can say is in my blood. It is the tradition of my family that the boys become accountants and the girls become dentists. We have Chartered Accounting, MBA, and ACCA professionals in my family. During my summer vacations I picked a Web Development class to do with my friend. I am not very good at math, and I realized that accounting was not my cup of tea. On the other hand, I really liked my web development class, designing, and computers.

What is your favorite thing about working here?
The best part of working with Allshore is the friendly environment. Apart from that, we have fixed office hours, ways to learn new technologies, and ways to implement them in our live projects. Our management like Client Relations Managers, Team Leads, and HR are always there to sort out all your concerns.
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned while working for our company?
I must say time management, project management, and communication skills are the most valuable. These are developing day by day. Also, since we are working with international clients we are daily introduced the latest technologies.

Tell us about your family. What do you like to together in free time?

I have two brothers, and I am the middle child. I was married on November 22nd of last year to my best friend. We used to watch movies, play board games, and go out for ice cream together. On October 1st we were blessed with a baby boy we named Muhammad Saad.

with Childhood FriendTell us about your own personal hobbies/interests.

I am very fond of online games, and I love motivational courses. In Pakistan, I follow Umair Jaliawala, Urooj Mazhar and Nadeem Chohan. I also like the trainings of Tony Robbins, Robin Sharma, and Sir Ken Robinson. I try to watch one Ted Talk daily. I also working as an organizer for a group called “Inception – We Take Initiative to Improve.” It’s a group of students who organize training and learning sessions for younger generations. We have successfully organized a youth training conference that was a personal improvement course and had about 100 students.

What is your favorite: movie, color, and food?

My favorite movies are The Pursuit of Happyness, Terminal, Cast Away and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I like the colors blue, white, and turquoise, and my favorite foods are pizza and anything that is BBQ.

Do you like sports? Which ones? Do you play any?

Yes, I really like sports. The All Sports channel is set in my TV favorites list. It’s a famous saying that cricket is in our blood in this country. I am very passionate about cricket. I am a left handed batsman and a right-handed bowler. Unfortunately I could only play cricket during school and I have had to quit playing sports due to asthma.

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know.

Most people think that I am very reserved and a very quiet person, but I am totally the opposite of that. I am a very talkative and friendly person who loves to meet new people.

Zaid never leaves home without his cell phone, wallet, and the prayers of his parents. If Zaid could have a super power he would like a car like BumbleBee because it’s friendly and always there to help you. His family nickname is “Jaidoo,” though some relatives also call him “Computer Man.”
